Strategy & Marketing Support for Shopify Partners
I help independent Shopify Partners fix unclear positioning, sharpen their offers, and build marketing that actually works — with practical support to help you make clearer decisions and keep moving.
Most clients come to me with one or two urgent challenges, but they're rarely isolated. What looks like a marketing problem often leads back to a wider business issue, and vice versa.
Usually it comes down to questions like:
The answers usually touch on the same connected areas — positioning, offers, marketing, communication, focus, and founder support.
Clarifying what you're known for, who you're best suited to help, and how you talk about the value you create in a way that feels clear, confident, and memorable.
Refining services, packages, and pricing so they're easier to understand, easier to buy, and more commercially sound for both you and your clients.
Creating a realistic marketing rhythm that helps you stay visible, generate the right opportunities, and build traction without it taking over your week.
Support with newsletters, campaigns, LinkedIn content, launches, and the messaging that keeps conversations moving and helps people remember what you do.
Working out what matters most right now, what can wait until later, and how to keep the important work moving forward week by week without losing momentum.
A trusted sounding board for decisions, direction, accountability, and the realities of running a business when everything ultimately lands with you.
Most of my clients are Shopify Partners — agencies, app founders, soloists, and specialists who are serious about growing their business and want an experienced outside perspective to help them do it. I've spent the last 14 years in the ecosystem, including seven at Shopify itself and seven running my own consultancy, so it's a world I know from the inside.
I also work with a small number of founders outside the Shopify ecosystem who are facing similar challenges — if that's you, let's talk.
Most of my work is remote. I have clients across the UK, Europe, and North America, with the occasional early start or late finish to make the time zones work.
The work we do is collaborative — I help you think clearly, make better decisions, and keep the important work moving. That might mean reviewing messaging, shaping offers, sense-checking ideas, or working through priorities together. It's not done-for-you delivery, but if you need specialist support I can usually point you in the right direction.
There are three ways we can work together, depending on what you need and how much support you want around it:
£395 +VAT (if applicable)
A focused 90-minute online session to work through one important challenge, decision, or idea. Good for a specific problem you need help thinking through, a decision you're sitting on, or if you want to get a feel for whether working together makes sense.
Before we meet I'll send a short survey — it helps me get up to speed quickly so we can make the most of our time together. You'll leave with a recording, notes, and a clear point of view on what to do next. And if questions come up afterwards, you're welcome to follow up by email for seven days.
If any of that sounds familiar, a Strategy Call is the simplest way to get started.
£1,695 +VAT (if applicable)
A Business Reset brings concentrated attention to the parts of your business that need it most — whether that's how you're positioned, how you talk about what you do, or how your marketing is actually working in practice. These things are rarely separate, and we won't treat them as if they are. Most resets run over four weeks, though the in-person option condenses everything into a single focused day.
Before we start, I'll send a detailed survey to make sure I understand the business, the challenge, and what good looks like from your perspective. That groundwork means the first session is productive rather than introductory.
You'll leave with a clear picture of what's been holding things back, practical recommendations you can act on, and a concrete next step. Along the way you'll get feedback on relevant work in progress — offers, pricing, copy, positioning, or marketing ideas.
Available remotely as weekly online working sessions over four weeks with async feedback between calls, or in person as a single full day together — ideal if you want to get the right people in a room and work it out properly. Travel and accommodation for the in-person option aren't included in the price but are recharged at cost.
Many clients move into the 1‑1 Advisory after a Business Reset — once the immediate challenge has been resolved, the focus shifts to keeping the momentum going and making sure the work sticks.
From £695 p/m +VAT (if applicable)
Two online working sessions a month, async support via Slack and email, and honest feedback on whatever needs attention. Many clients move here after a Business Reset, but it works equally well if you're simply looking for a seasoned outside voice to think alongside — someone to bounce ideas off, sense-check decisions, and keep you from getting too close to your own business.
If that sounds like where you are right now, let's talk.
Since starting my business, I've worked with Alvio, Archer Cooper, Beyond Tellerrand, Birmingham Museums Trust, Bounce, Buunto, Cleverific, Colonna Coffee, Disco Labs, Forsberg+two, Fourth Wall Content, Gadget, Gorgias, Kno Commerce, Llanerch Vineyard, Mantle, Milk Bottle Labs, Noughts & Ones, Optizio, Recharge, RecipeKit, Space Squirrel, The Taproom, Sufio, Swanky, The Support Heroes, Three Acres, Tidio, Toward, Treen, Union Works, Venntov, We Make Websites, Whitecap SEO, Zapiet and more.

Book a free consultation and we'll work it out together. There's no obligation and no hard sell.
Usually within a couple of weeks.
Yes. A lot of clients start with a Strategy Call and move into a Business Reset or 1‑1 Advisory from there. It's a natural progression.
A focused Google Meet — usually 60 minutes — where we work through whatever's most pressing. Notes are taken throughout so you'll have a record of everything we covered and agreed.
We spend a full day together working through the challenge in one focused session. Travel and accommodation are recharged at cost on top of the fee — for most UK clients that's a day's travel and one night away. For clients further afield, two nights is usually more realistic. We'll agree the details before anything is booked.
If things aren't going in the right direction, I'd rather we talk about it than paper over it. If you need to pause or cancel, I ask for a month's notice — in practice that just means I won't invoice you again.
Typically 5–8. It's a small enough number to give everyone proper attention without spreading too thin.
Yes. I work with multiple agency founders and soloists at any one time and it's never been an issue — the work is specific enough to each business that there's no conflict. The one exception is app companies: I won't work with two whose products overlap directly.
Usually yes. If it's a dealbreaker, let's talk it through before we start.
Once work has started, I don't offer refunds. If you need to pause or cancel, a month's notice is all I ask.
Yes — I trade as Keir Whitaker but operate through Metro 55 Limited, incorporated in England & Wales in 2004. Company number 05243642.
If applicable, VAT is charged at 20% and clearly stated on every invoice. UK VAT registration number 177672955.
Invoices are issued on the first of the month, in advance, in GBP on seven-day payment terms. If we start part way through a month I'll issue a pro-rata invoice for the first period. I prefer bank transfer but can accept card payment — just mention it when we first speak.
That's fine. We can talk through what's going on and work out the best place to start. No obligation, no hard sell.
