De:brief Report & 2020 Event News

Earlier this year my long-time collaborator Cat Hunter and I hosted the first De:brief Event in Toronto. It took place the day after the fourth Shopify Unite and was designed to, well, debrief attendees on the big announcements from the conference.

To say we were shocked by the response would be an understatement. 150 tickets were sold, 40 people joined the waiting list, and 16 companies became our 2019 Founding Patrons whose support made the event possible.

Over the course of the day, we discussed topics ranging from themes and apps to the state of the Shopify agency economy.

De:brief 2020 — Saturday 9th May 2020

De:brief 2020 will take place on Saturday 9th May 11.30am – 6.00pm in Toronto (venue TBC)

I need to crunch the numbers but fully expect tickets to be priced similarly to 2019. As with the event this year we’ll start late morning and wrap up the content around 5 pm. Given its a weekend we’ll make it as relaxed as possible — Mimosas anyone?
