Last December Shopify Partners hosted the inaugural “A Day with Shopify” in Bristol, UK — a one day event bringing together the Shopify Partner ecosystem for a day of learning, sharing, and networking.

What started off as a “what if” idea last September turned into reality when we launched in late October. Ultimately, 100+ partners, from 12 countries, and a full quota of the Shopify team spent the day hearing from six speakers covering a wide variety of topics from growing your agency to how to turn an app into an income. Whilst the keynotes were great I have heard that the conversations during the day, and especially on the guided tour of Brunel’s steamship SS Great Britain, were also extremely valuable and have led to numerous collaborations.
I had the pleasure of being MC for the day — it’s something I enjoy and having a lot of friendly, and familiar faces, in the audience added to the fun. Bar one sweaty moment involving a livestream and the sound emerging from, of all places, the projectors speaker all went well.
